Purchasing and Redeeming 1-year subscriptions of Apple TV+, Apple News+ or Apple Arcade

1. Where can I purchase a 1-year subscription of Apple TV+, Apple News+ or Apple Arcade?

A 1-year subscription of Apple TV+, Apple News+ or Apple Arcade can be purchased on Costco.ca within Canada.

2. How do I redeem my 1-year subscription of Apple TV+, Apple News+ or Apple Arcade?

If you purchased a 1-year subscription of Apple TV+, Apple News+ or Apple Arcade from Costco, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to redeem. Follow the instructions within the email to complete the redemption of your Apple TV+, Apple News+ or Apple Arcade subscription.

3. What device is required to redeem my 1-year subscription of Apple TV+, Apple News+ or Apple Arcade?

Your Apple TV+ subscription can be redeemed on an iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Redemption using an Android device or Windows PC is supported using a web browser.

Your Apple Arcade and Apple News+ subscriptions can be redeemed on an iPhone, iPad and Mac.

4. Where can I find my pin?

If you purchased a 1-year subscription of Apple TV+, Apple News+ or Apple Arcade from Costco, your pin will be included in the confirmation email sent to you after your purchase.

5. Does my pin expire?

Yes, your pin expires 12 months after purchase. Once your pin has expired you will no longer be able to redeem the 1-year subscription purchased from Costco.

6. I never received my pin after purchasing my 1-year subscription of Apple TV+, Apple News+ or Apple Arcade from Costco.

If you have lost or are having issues locating your pin, please access your purchase on the Digital Order Portal. You will need your Costco order number and the email address used for purchase.

7. Can I still redeem the 1-year subscription of Apple TV+, Apple News+ or Apple Arcade if I already have a subscription?

Yes, your 1-year subscription of Apple TV+, Apple News+ or Apple Arcade will be added on top of your current subscription. Your next billing date through Apple will be 1-year from the date you redeemed the subscription purchased from Costco.

8. If I already have an Apple TV+, Apple News+ or Apple Arcade promotion, will I keep the remaining part of the promotion before my 1-year subscription from Costco begins?

Yes. Your 1-year subscription of Apple TV+, Apple News+ or Apple Arcade will be added to the existing promotion redeemed against your Apple ID. You will not lose the free periods from any previously applied promotions.

9. If I have an Apple One subscription, can I redeem the 1-year subscription purchased from Costco?

The 1-year subscription purchased through Costco cannot be redeemed by an existing Apple One subscriber.

10. When I try to redeem, I’m shown a message saying the offer is only available in the Canada?

This may occur if the Apple ID being used to redeem the 1-year subscription was created in a country other than Canada. To redeem the 1-year subscription of Apple TV+, Apple News+ or Apple Arcade purchase through Costco, you must use an Apple ID created and used in the Canada storefront.

Follow the instructions on the Apple support page to cancel your subscription.

If you don’t have an Apple device and want to cancel your Apple TV+ subscription, you can follow the instructions found here.

3. Why happens when my 1-year subscription of Apple TV+, Apple News+ or Apple Arcade ends?

You will automatically be billed through Apple for a monthly subscription once your Apple TV+, Apple News+ or Apple Arcade subscription purchased through Costco ends. If you would like to stop renewal or cancel your subscription, instructions can be found on the following Apple support page.
